Cubes have evolved in many ways. To start, the methods have evolved to make solving one as fast as possible. The method that was first developed did not have as many algorithms or had more moves which made solving one take more time. Now there are several different methods that someone could use. Choosing a method mostly depends on personal preference. The next way cubes have evolved is the design of cubes. The initial design was not made with speed in mind. Designers have now completely changed how a cube is made to improve turning speed. For example, most high quality speed cubes have magnets in the cube to make turns more accurate.
